FOAL MEDICINE

Elliman Equine offers 24/7 care and support for your foal. We will treat your foal on the farm and when required assess the need for more intensive hospitalization. Please give us a call if you have any concerns about your foal or just want a routine consultation. Our services include:

• Abnormal Foal Evaluation Around Birth - if your foal has not stood and nursed within three hours of birth or you are in any way concerned, please give us a call immediately. We are available 24/7. The sooner we can appropriately intervene the better.

• New Foal Exam - we recommend every newborn foal have a neonatal examination within 24 hours of birth to assess the overall health and condition of the foal and the dam. If you have a new baby on the farm, give us a call today!

• Sick Foal Treatment - ‘dummy’ foal, premature foal, septicemia, meconium impaction, colic, diarrhea, umbilical infections, etc.

• Plasma Administration

• Abdominal and Umbilical Ultrasound
